HER FOOD BITES: I have always wanted to go to try out Rustic Mornings after being able to taste their waffles from a friend who had some before as take-out. The waffles are really crispy, but still had the right kind of fluffiness for you to bite into. When combined with their maple syrup, and topping of mango cubes, it is absolutely perfect! I can actually say that so far, it is the best waffle that I have had. :) Although having waffles with chicken AND salad is not really a usual combination, I actually loved it! It's like have 3 different meals in one plate. :) The chicken strips were crispy and delicious with the marinara sauce. The salad with the tomatoes, carrots, and lettuce looked simple, but added with their tangy vinaigrette sauce, I just had to finish everything! :) It surely is a place worth going back to. :)

HIS FOOD BITES: Rustic Mornings was one of the first Marikina restos that we have visited for Food Bites PH. Ever since watching a little too much TLC on cable, I have been searching for sandwiches from different places in the Metro. I decided to have Rustic Morning's take on their BBQ Pulled Pork Crackling Sandwich. It pains me to say that I did not have a really good experience with it. You could hardly taste the pork due to the overpowering flavor of butter and onions. The serving was not really that generous too. I would also like to state that my sandwich was served when R was nearly done with her order. She is not really a quick eater to begin with! Overall, the venue was really nice but the food (at least for me) was not really that good. I am just glad that R enjoyed her meal. Might visit the place again soon. I am sure this place has a lot to offer, I might just have to try a different meal from their menu.
About the venue: The venue just has about everything in it, much like a gypsy place, or reminiscent of Cafe Juanita with more outdoor space. It has also a very artistic vibe that they also turned a studio into a dining place. They also have the indoor, air-conditioned house if you want a restaurant feel while dining. Parking is available outside and they are open everyday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Enjoy! :)
