HER FOOD BITES: The half serving of Lumberjack sandwich packed with all the dairy melting goodness of the cheese, caramelized onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms combined with the juicy tender Angus beef was just the right amount to keep me very full, but still have enough space for their equally famous homemade creamy ice cream. I ordered the Half-baked Madagascar which had actually cookies in it. It was sooooo good that I'd be willing to go back to Mad Mark's just to have that again! :)

HIS FOOD BITES: For the longest time, I have been craving for a good sandwich and R recommended Mad Mark's in Kapitolyo without even batting an eyelash. I knew I had to give their best sandwich a shot so I ordered "THE" Man Sandwich straight off the bat. The word of caution on their menu said it all: "High in Protein and Messy", and that is not really a bad thing in my book. Angus beef, grilled chicken, a homemade cheese sauce, onions and green bell peppers all team up for this interesting sandwich. The taste of the grilled chicken overpowered the beef a bit too much, in my humble opinion, but it was good nonetheless. It was quite a shame that even if we got there as early as 6pm, they were already out of their homemade iced tea and that the customer directly ahead of us ordered the last batch of root beer. Better luck next time, I guess. With only a few true sandwich places here in Manila, Mad Mark's is definitely a must try.
About the venue: Venue is very small considering that they already have a lot of patrons and it would be advisable to go there early, especially for dinner, if you want to have seats. It would also be better if they put maybe some soundproofing around their restaurant to be able to at least minimize the noise inside the place, since some of their customers speak really loudly and it echoes throughout the whole place, making the eating experience for other people unpleasant. Place is good only for around 20 people. Parking is along the road.
