HER FOOD BITES: I love kani and mango, but I'm used to eating them together in a salad. So when I saw this sandwich with these ingredients, I decided to try it. The kani and mango make for a refreshing and delicious sandwich. There is also shrimp, some seaweed, lettuce, and of course, their sauce. Thinking about it makes me crave for it again. :) It just took a while for them to prepare it since there was already a surge of people waiting for their orders as well by the time we ordered. Would love to try their other sandwiches next time. :)

HIS FOOD BITES: We decided to drop by Capitol Commons one lazy Sunday afternoon for merienda. There were certainly a lot of food trucks to cater to anyone's gastronomical needs but once again my weakness for sandwiches diluted the calls from the other trucks and I found myself walking over to Cheese Steak Shop's food truck. I tried out their Bacon Cheese Steak which was definitely one of the best I have had here in Manila. The steak itself was well cooked and flavorful. It was not overwhelmed by the sauteed onions and fried bacon. Every bite makes you crave for more! This was definitely one of the best cheese steak that I have tried here in our country and I do hope that, in the years to come, a lot more sandwich places would sprout here in the Metro. Perhaps the last thing that I would like to mention was the price, though I do understand that they use premium ingredients to ensure the quality of their sandwiches. It was a bit pricey considering that the price of their premium sandwiches could be compared to the sandwiches from some NY based sandwich places. Would that hold me back to try out what other sandwiches they have to offer? Nope, I would definitely be back.
About the venue: The Food Truck Park could be located at Capitol Commons, Pasig. Tables are placed at the al fresco area near the park where people could enjoy their meals. You could visit them Tuesdays to Thursdays from 4pm to 10pm, Fridays from 4pm to 12mn. During the weekend, the food trucks are open from 4pm to 9pm.
