HER FOOD BITES: My first order was the Katsu Curry, but due to my inability to tolerate anything spicy, I had to order Ebi Tempura, and gave the curry to M. Hahaha! If not for its spiciness, I would've finished this meal! It was sooo good and would really be perfect for those looking for their spicy Japanese fix. As for the Ebi Tempura, the 6-pieces of tempura were crunchy and big enough, but I was looking for the sweetness in the sauce that I love about eating tempura. Unfortunately, this one was not sweet enough for me.

HIS FOOD BITES: The tantanmen's spicy sesame ramen goodness hits close to home. My mom's homecooking always sticks to the spicy side since she is a Bicolana. Anything that you could somewhat compare to your mom's cooking is definitely a good thing. If you want something spicy without the broth, I would also recommend the Katsu Curry. Yeah, I definitely got my spicy fix for the week after visiting Ryu. Would be back soon!
About the venue: Interiors are reminiscent of typical Japanese restaurants. It can occupy around 20-30 people. Parking is available for a couple of cars in front of the establishment. Added bonus: The place is co-owned by Regine and Ogie Alcasid. So if you do decide to drop by, you might have the chance to get a glimpse of them! :)
