Food ordered: Tuna Tataki Salad / Gyudon / Pork Gyoza / Chasu Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen
We actually enjoyed their food so much, that we went back as paying customers this time. I find it kind of rare here in the Philippines to have both ramen and sushi in one restaurant. So, imagine M's surprise and joy once he saw the ramen selection! He ordered the Chasu Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen which he loved. He was impressed with how flavorful it was considering the fact that it was also affordable. He also ordered the Tuna Tataki Salad since he liked the idea of a tuna sashimi that is blow torched only at the sides. It gave a different taste and texture to the sashimi once you eat it combined with the sauce that had sesame seeds on it. A great combination indeed! He also couldn't get enough of the Pork Gyoza which he already loved from the opening celebration of the restaurant. One of the best ones he has tried as he says. As for me, I knew what I was already going to order from the start, I had the Gyudon which was perfect for my taste. I liked that it was extra sweet and savory at the same time. As M said, it was like our classic tapa with a Japanese twist. Haha! To go with his meal, M got the peach iced tea which he loved as well.
Thank you, Roku for sharing your passion for Japanese food with us! We surely will go back again soon and try out more of your sushi and ramen!
