HER FOOD BITES: As soon as we heard that the group who brought us Pino, Pipino, and BRGR, among others, just opened a new one (last Sunday, September 8), we rushed right away to try their new place. Breakfast AND Pies! What a lovely combination! I ordered the Eggs Benedict which had thick slabs of bacon, poached eggs, toasted english muffins, asparagus, sriracha hollandaise, and spiced shoestring potato fries. It was a mix of different flavors from salty, to spicy, to sweet which all blended well. To think I'm not really a fan of anything spicy, adding sriracha to the hollandaise sauce gave it the necessary kick and distinct flavor. Most of the food in their menu actually have something spicy in it, either sriracha, kimchee, or jalapenos, which makes their meals really interesting. I especially loved the shoestring potatoes which were spicy and sweet at the same time. Perfect for my taste! :) The Smores Pie was heavenly! It wasn't too sweet, which was something you would expect from smores, but the graham crust evened out the sweetness of the chocolate chip and the marshmallows. Lastly, I was not able to take pictures of the ensaymada and spanish bread since I brought them home for my family, and they devoured it in less than a minute! I guess that's enough proof to tell you how good they were huh? ;) Well, I'm not a Science-lover, but for π Breakfast and Pies, seeing πs everyday will surely be a welcome idea! :)

HIS FOOD BITES: The newest breakfast place near the Maginhawa area, π Breakfast and Pies provides the most important meal of the day, all day. Open from 7am to 10pm daily, this resto is certainly a welcome addition to the abundant food places along the area. We dropped by π Breakfast and Pies during its soft opening last Sunday for a quick merienda after hearing mass. I had their BLTE and I was not disappointed. I personally enjoyed the wonderful combination of the traditional BLTE with π's siracha mayo on an English muffin. The flavors blended brilliantly. Perfect to start up anyone's day. On its side was their spiced shoe string fries. This in itself would have me coming back to π. For dessert, we had their Smores Pie and Chocolate Chip Cookie. I would gladly recommend both of them to my friends. Overall, it was an excellent visit. Good food and wonderful ambiance. Kudos to the owners and chefs of π Breakfast and Pies. Well done and we would definitely see you again soon.
About the venue: The venue's interior has a very classic look with wooden fixtures and black and white interiors. They used the same flooring as the laundry shop which occupied that space before. Look up and you will see their very unique lamps which adds character to the venue and makes it even more interesting. Indeed a novel idea for a breakfast and pies place and bakery. It is right beside Pino Malingap and can accommodate around 25 people inside, but take out is allowed. You can even order from Pino or Pipino, if you'd prefer to stay there. Parking is shared with their other restaurants in the area/ building.
