HER FOOD BITES: After hearing about this place from Kris TV, and having had the chance to pass by Marikina, we decided to try out Mama Chit's. We orderedt their Cheeseburger, which was their bestseller, with chips and dip. There's nothing really special about it actually. It's just your normal, homemade burger. I could say my mom makes better burgers than this. But I guess a good thing about their burger is the yummy, tasty bread they use for it. They have an extremely huge version of this which they call Family Burger and costs Php 600. The chips were just Ruffles with some dip. The Sundried Tomatoes was just like carbonara with sundried tomatoes. That's it. Nothing extraordinary. I guess either they just really made everything better when Kris Aquino visited their place, or Kris Aquino is not used to the normal, homemade burgers, which made this unique and delicious for her. Sorry, Mama Chit's, but I guess once is enough.

HIS FOOD BITES: Mama Chit's has a really interesting vintage motif that creates a homey vibe for their patrons. We ordered their infamous Cheeseburger with chips, I had extremely high expectations for it since we have been searching for the best burgers for quite a while now. After waiting for more than an hour, our burger finally reached our table. The taste was reminiscent of homemade burgers from my childhood. The burger your mom used to prepare during Sunday afternoons. I love and appreciate that specific kind of burger, but sad to say, that appeal stays inside the four walls of my folk's home and, as much as possible, I would not really pay a hundred bucks for a similar burger. Overall, after the long wait and the not-really-that-special burger, I really wish that Mama Chit's would spruce up their menu and service to accommodate the current hype that ties together with their name.
About the venue: Venue was packed when we went there. There's no parking available and we had to park along the road far from the restaurant. You order and pay on the counter. When we went there, the owner was the one actually taking orders and acting as the cashier. I guess it has really been a busy day for her that she did not really seem nice at all. We tried asking for recommendations and all she said was to just look at their menu, which was just a list of food on a whiteboard. Service is even worse. It took us almost an hour and a half to two hours to wait for our food. Maybe it's because of the surge of people after being featured by KrisTV, but it was really not worth the wait.
Venue is vintage-themed like a cafe or diner during the 1960s or 70s. It features a large Coke memorabilia, and interesting vintage car plates.
