HER FOOD BITES: If you're looking for a variety of food choices or fusion Filipino classics, Franco's is the place to go. They have almost everything you'd crave for. From sandwiches to pizzas, even the well-loved sisig! Case in point, we were enticed by this sisig since it uses angus beef! It was so good that we would have preferred to have it as a meal instead of just an appetizer, since the serving was so small. The angus beef was really tasty and easy to bite into, not the type that you'll turn into a chewing gum. Haha! I also particularly loved their Barcelona pizza. It had chorizo with cheese and caramelized onions, which I usually like to have in my burgers and pizza. It was very light to eat, but filling as well. M was the one who ordered the Reuben sandwich, but I had a bite or two from it. It was okay, but I found it oily. Well, I'll leave the rest for M to describe. Overall, Franco's, which is also from the company who brought us Myron's Place, is worth a try. :)

HIS FOOD BITES: It has been quite some time since we went to Rockwell and we wanted to try a restaurant apart from the usual suspects so we decided to give Franco's a shot. Upon glancing on the menu, a peculiar appetizer caught my eye: Angus Beef Sisig. I particularly love sisig and we both wanted to see the how the up-scale twist would fare so our first dish was agreed upon rather quickly. The quality of the beef was superb, as expected. The beef was extremely flavorful and tender. The dish's serving was sparing but aside from that I really enjoyed it.
After the tasty appetizer, I switched over to their Reuben Sandwich. Sadly, the bread seemed like it was soaked in butter rather generously before it was grilled. I tried to decipher the taste of the corned beef but it was extremely overpowered by the taste of butter. Some people might like enjoy that particular preparation but it was not my cup of tea.
Would we visit Franco's again some other time? Definitely. I am sure they have a lot more to offer on their menu. Their House Specialties looks rather enticing, in my opinion. Looking back, perhaps I should have chosen not to have a sandwich during our initial visit. Until next time!
About the venue: The restaurant is located at the ground floor of Power Plant Mall. It has a modern yet simple feel that most people would appreciate.
