HER FOOD BITES: Having already tried Casa Verde in Cebu, I was really looking forward to know how Casa Verde in Manila would fair. First thing I checked was how the prices would be compared to the prices in Cebu. It is actually really reasonable, which was just around maybe 30-50 pesos higher. With regard to the taste, in my humble opinion, they were all delicious! Their Brian's Ribs can be a contender for the best ribs in town! Two big slabs of meat with corn, carrots and rice, all for Php 250! :) Good for 2-3 people already! Well, order an extra rice if you want. Haha! The pastas were also very tasty, which were not really your usual spaghetti or carbonara. The Watermelon salad was a mix of fruits and vegetables, with a dinner roll. It was served over crisp lettuce, mango strips, jicama and nuts, drizzled with sesame-seed dressing. Very refreshing indeed! :) Thank you, Casa Verde, for bringing your signature taste to Manila! :)

HIS FOOD BITES: Casa Verde is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Cebu City and I was really pleased when I found out that they were opening a branch in Quezon City. The branch in Cebu had just the right balance of price and serving size, couple it with their flavorful (definitely tasty!) food selection, you would understand why I really consider Casa Verde as part of the restaurants that I enjoy dining in. The branch in the Ayala UP Town Center was pricier than in Cebu, albeit only slightly. The Golden Chicken Fingers was excellently prepared, golden fried tenderloins served with fries on the side. Brian's Ribs (No actual Brians were hurt during the process of preparing the meal) is surely a pick from their menu that I really savor. Well cooked and delectable ribs that you could share with special someone. I personally prefer the ambiance of their Terraces, Ayala Center, Cebu branch over UP Town Center. I am not sure if there are people who share the same sentiment though. Overall, I enjoyed our stay at Casa Verde, Q.C., minutely higher price for the same excellent taste and serving. Would definitely be back, not just because I had an wonderful time during our visit, but because I just realized that I forgot to order their really awesome Surf and Turf! We will meet again!
About the venue: Casa Verde is located on the 2nd floor of the Ayala UP Town Center. If you are going to drop by during weekends, please be prepared to wait for a table since there are still a lot of people visiting the restaurant especially during peak hours. Surprisingly, there was no service water during our visit, which was definitely a first for us to experience. I am sure that it only happened during the time of our visit and that they do actually regularly serve glasses of water to their patrons.
An allocated parking area for UP Town Center visitors could be found within the vicinity.
